TESTING FOR REAL-WORLD BENCHMARKS
Hey fam đź‘‹
I’m putting together the guide for the Fitness Age Test, and I could really use your help.
Most of the existing “average” numbers for these exercises come from lab testing, military data, or idealized populations with a lot of self-reported results. That’s not who this test is for. I want benchmarks based on real humans—people who would actually be doing this workout.
While general estimates suggest most adults perform at about 50–70% of published norms (with beginners closer to 30–40%), I don’t want to just plug in assumptions. Instead, I’d love to get real data from about 5–10 of you who are willing to complete the workout and report your honest results.
If you’re up for it, please complete the workout and comment your stats in the following format:
Age Group: (20s–70s, no need for exact age)
Sex: M or F
Total reps completed for:
01 – Half Burpees
02 – Biceps Curls
03 – Push-Ups
04 – S2S Goblet Squats
05 – Alternating Reverse Lunges
06 – Low Plank Hold
07 – Standing Shoulder Press
08 – DB Deadlifts
09 – Kneeling Rows
10 – DB Hip Thrusts
11 – Sit-Ups
12 – 3-Station Sprints
*Please note if exercises were modified - ex 12 Push-ups +5 Mods
👉 For #6 (Low Plank Hold) and #12 (3-Station Sprints), please include:
Time completed
Confidence level in the movement (1–10)
The faster I get this data, the faster I can release the guide for determining our true fitness age.
Really appreciate you all—thank you for helping make this as accurate and real as possible 💪
